Tough stackable chairs found in England were from a military canteen, still in astonishingly good condition. In a sturdy green metal base with signs of wear, of course, but no cracks or flaws, the seat and backrest are made of a special kind of hard material in a brownish color, there are sometimes small corners worn away or broken off, but not disturbing.
